i have been wondering how to expand the sense of the room as the primary subject.
here i tried obscuring part of the figure.
i want to get away from drawing a figure in a room,
to a room that is filled with light and dark and a series of incidental forms.
similarly i have been working on poses that suggest some kind of narrative, a little like a still from a film.
this is the connection between my drawings and buildings -
making an apparent space that you can't see
to make an experience that exists in your mind.
(a little like the way a flat drawing can suggest space).
